David Cook’s First Album Ready for November 18 Release

American Idol winner David Cook’s first self-titled album is set for Nov. 18 release. It will have 12 tracks, and will include the 2008 Idol theme “Time of My Life” as a bonus track.
Cook, who performed recently on “Saturday Night Live” to promote the album told USA Today, “I really wanted to show what kind of artist I am going to be for the next five or 10 years,” he says. “And I am not 100 percent sure that (“Time of My Life”) fits the record.”
Chris Cornell of Audioslave and Soundgarden co-wrote “Light On” with Brian Howes, who also has penned material for Daughtry, Puddle of Mudd and Oklahoma City rockers Hinder.
The album is currently No. 8 on Amazon.com’s best-sellers list.
David Cook also played “Declaration”, the opening track of his upcoming album, on the second segment of his SNL appearance. It sounded like a throwback to the big classic rock songs that fit David Cook’s music more than “Light On”.
Here is the track list for “David Cook” from Amazon:
1. Declaration
2. Heroes
3. Light On
4. Come Back to Me
5. Life on the Moon
6. Bar-ba-sol
7. Mr. Sensitive
8. Lie
9. I Did It for You
10. Avalanche
11. Permanent
12. A Daily AntheM
13. The Time Of My Life (Bonus Track)
